March’s 21 Days of Beauty is almost here, so for today’s post, I’m talking about a couple products I think you might be interested in. As a bonus, I’m also adding some of my own thoughts and opinions about the sale as a whole because: is it even worth it?
The Details: March 14 to April 3rd
BECCA Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter
If you haven’t heard the news, BECCA cosmetics is closing by September of this year due to Covid. I know many people loved their highlighters so I’m mentioning this one. It’s regularly $38 down to $19. If you ever wanted to try the brand, now may be your final opportunity.
Date: Friday March 19th
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and Ultra Creamy Shape Tape
I’m surprised to see the newly released Ultra Creamy Shape Tape going on sale! It’s only been out for barely a week or two at this point, but they planned for it to be half off during the sale. If your curious about the new release, you can check it out but only if you are Diamond/Platinum level at Ulta. The main complaint about the Shape Tape was it being too cakey and drying, so maybe this’ll become popular? Not sure based on the negitive comments on their Instagram, but we’ll have to see.
Date: Saturday March 20th
Urban Decay Original Eye Shadow Primer Potion
I hear a lot of people raving about this eye shadow primer. I might actually pick this one up, despite not normally picking up much from the sale. It’s regularly $24 for 0.33 ounces and the sale is down to $12. Maybe restock on this old goodie?
Date: Wednesday March 24th
First Aid Beauty FAB Starter Kit
I’ve tried a very similar kit to this, but it can with a little extra. This kit comes with their face cleanser and ultra repair cream. I really love their face cream, I could go on all day how much I love it, but the cleanser did not work well for me at all. But, if you want to test this duo and see for yourself, it’s only $12, regular $24. Maybe you’ll like this cleanser!
Date: Thursday, April 1st
Things To Be Aware Of
There’s a lot of sneaky little details in here and there. For example, some sales are app exclusives, some are online only and some require you to be a certain status at Ulta. And, there’s select skincare/ products from brands available that the ads don’t adversely show and are just categories as “select products.”
So keep that in mind, there’s a lot of specifics involved in the sales.
I have been thinking this for a while, and now I’m starting to see other people say this too: the sales are getting a little repetitive. I remember a majority of the products from this year being on sale previously. It’s also the same brands as well. Based on the leaked images of the sale it looked much worse (also, I might of had to re-do the majority of this post because of it, whoops) but there is some new brands and products. I never find much interesting about their sale, I hope they’ll consider other indie brands and other products in the future.
For now, maybe you’ll find something new, but I know a lot of people who use this as an opportunity to restock on old favorites. But what do you think? Is it repetitive? Or, are you planning on buying anything new? Let me know!
