In today’s post, I’d like to talk about eye shadow and my current favorite palette! Blush Crush is a 9-pan soft pink eye shadow palette from Colourpop which is perfect for everyday wear. I’ve mentioned them in my previous posts (see here) but I’d like to go a little more in depth in today’s post.
Although the palette looks very pink, the shades are actually very neutral with a pink tinge. My favorite shades are made you blush (lid shade), blush wine (outer corner) and pop a bottle (shimmer).
Love sick and the shade the one are transition shadows I like best. I alternate between the two pretty frequently since only the undertone is only slightly different.
I don’t use blossom up or enamored that much. I’ve tried them a few times and they are okay in my opinion, but I love the shade made you blush to make the look pinker. Although, blossom up swatches beautifully since it’s a duo chrome shade.
Pop a bottle swatched looks nothing special, it’s white-gold color with a pink shift. Sometimes it takes a while to build up, but it’s always a pretty topper. It’s in the super shock formula.
You can get a decent amount of looks out of this palette, ranging from very light to a little smokey, but overall a really soft palette. I love how I don’t need to worry about blending or accidentally adding too much pigment. Really, it’s such a staple.
If you are looking at the color story, the 2021 Valentines Day collection has very similar shades.
Melt 4 You is definitely the most similar- almost identical colors. SWAK is more reddish and warm, but a little similar as well. 143 is Blush Crush’s more vibrant sister with similar colors but a lot brighter and saturated.
There’s some more heavily pink palettes, but otherwise, surprisingly not that similar to much else!
I’d 100 percent recommend this palette if you are into soft, pink tones. I know some people don’t like this palette because it’s too muted and soft compared to Colourpop’s other palettes, but I love it for that reason. It’s very easy to blend and easy to throw on and be out the door. It’s been my go-to for a while now, and I just truly love it!
