How to Layer SPF Using Makeup and Skincare

Hello everyone! So for today’s post, I’d like to talk about sunscreen and SPF as it’s getting closer to summertime (at least in the northern hemisphere), so it’s time to start wearing sunscreen!

One big issue I see is that people don’t reapply their sunscreen. It’s easy to forget when you’re caught up having fun, or working hard outdoors. Another issue is that people wear makeup over their sunscreen, so how can you reapply if you already applied makeup after?

Using Makeup to Reapply

There’s a lot of ways to add SPF to your routine, both in skincare and makeup. Foundations sometimes have SPF or even primers. The other day I saw lip gloss with SPF 20!

But, if you’re interested in reapplying your spf without using sunscreen, your answer is powder: Setting powder, finishing powder, and power foundation.

They’re convenient, especially if you get a pressed powder that comes in a compact that you can easily throw in your purse or bag. Powder also allows you to try translucent varies so it doesn’t look so heavy when you reapply through the day.

This way, you can reapply with makeup on and avoid super caky looks.

How To Layer SPF With Skincare

Don’t wear makeup? Try using a moisturizer with spf and then layering sunscreen on top!

Or, even better, you can layer spf multiple times. Moisturizers, foundations and powders can have a low amount of spf, so combined with a regular sunscreen, you’re all set. Any combination of these work as well if you want that extra boost of sun protection.
