Hi all! Elf has been my favorite brand for a long time and I’ve been using them for years. They’re affordable with the majority of products under $15, and a pretty good selection under $5.
The brand has increased in quality especially the last few years, and people are noticing as the brand becomes more and more popular. So, for today’s post, I’m sharing my favorite products from this drugstore brand.
This concealer is one of my favorites. It’s not super heavy but coverage is really good at a medium-to-full coverage for all looks. It doesn’t look dry or cakey either. It’s not overly hydrating though, as some dewy and satin concealers can look like a shiny mess under your eyes.
It comes in 25 shades and three undertones so there’s lots of options for finding your best shade. I’m definitely in the shade fair warm, but the range from light to dark is really good. This is also a versatile concealer, great for both no-makeup days but also heavy glam.
It comes with a soft yet study doe-foot applicator and the formula incorporates skincare benefits like sodium hyaluronate- think of it like hyaluronic acid’s cousin!
This quad is probably the best quad you can find at the drugstore. It’s pigmented, it’s versatile, it comes in 8 varieties- 10 if your including the mint collection.
This color is called cream and sugar and it’s the perfect natural glam palette. It is very small but it’s perfect for travel or a gift for someone who likes everyday makeup. It has the perfect ratio of shimmers to mattes as well.
I’d recommend these 8 over the 2 from the mint melt collection, which were a little lackluster compared to these ones. Minty shades are so light, it can be hard to get the formula exact. But, for these shades, they’re as pigmented as some high end eyeshadows!
This lip balm is tinted, coming in a couple different shades and quite thick on the lips. I actually have one main flaw with this lip balm that can be easily fixed.
If you can’t get the product out of the tube, place in out in the sun for a little while. I had this product for months and couldn’t get it out of the tube, but once the temperatures started to warm up, it easily slid out. Just a tip in case you can’t get yours out, leave it somewhere warm.
Otherwise, I love the pigment of this Elf cosmetics product. It’s perfect for the summer time if you don’t want to wear lipstick but you want a decent amount of color and shine. A summer must-have!
Did you know Elf has skincare as well? They just released their Holy Hydration face cream and I’m so excited for it!
Their skincare has amazing ingredients, and there’s even a few fragrance-free options too. This one does have fragrance, but also has broad spectrum spf 30 sunscreen. Someone asked on Twitter if they’ll make a fragrance free option, and they said they’ll write it down and discuss it. So maybe in the future they’ll release a fragrance-free version, but for now this works really well in the meantime.
It has peptides, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide, while also providing a decent amount of sun protection. Stacking SPF can be a great way to protect your skin from the sun’s harsh rays. Highly recommend!
Their cream blushes have been getting a lot of attention, but may I remind you of this 2019 Allure Best of Beauty award winner?
Known for it’s staying power and high pigment, this blush is long wearing with buildable coverage. It’s not too pigmented to the point of being too much, but still can build into a bright color. It comes in 6 shades with a few darker options for those of us with darker skin, and a soft matte finish.
Like a lot of Elf Cosmetic’s products, this also comes with skincare benefits such as shea butter which moisturizes and nourishes the skin. It’s a common skincare ingredient for a reason!
Elf Cosmetic’s makeup brushes in general are so good. I have a couple in this black packaging and they’re all amazing.
Definitely not the softest, but in no way are they too sharp. I also love how flexible and versatile they are. This brush in particular can be used for under eye powder or for touch ups on the face.
Although they are cheaper, the quality is not sacrificed. They haven’t broke on me and I’ve had a few of them for a couple years now. For $6, the quality really can’t be beat. If you are in the market for affordable brushes, highly recommend this one and all of their brushes in this seek, black packaging.
